Venezuelans military website hacked

The Official website of Military of Venezuela has been hacked and published on the website Pastebin.com by a user named Kapustkiy on 8 January 2017.

The hacker targeted the official website  (www.esguarnacpuntademata.mil.ve) and the Twitter account linked to this website (@GNBesguarnaccli).

According to the post on pastebin.com, the hack was carried out to protest against the President.  Kapustkiy wrote on his blog, "In protest against Nicolas Maduro .''  In his post he further wrote, "WE ARE NEW WORLD HACKERS.  EXPECT US: GREETINGS TO: ownz - cyric - shadow - prophet - sadfurry - gustavo" and also posted the link to their website (www.newworldhackers.com).

The hacked database includes the personal information like full name, telephone number, email id, their ethnicity, military unit. The compromised file contains the 2189 entries.

Recently Venezuela is facing a crisis as its murders and lynching is increasing at an alarming rate.

Approximately one person is being lynched every three days as frustrated residents have taken justice into their own hands and they usually take revenge on suspected criminals.

A crime monitoring group reported that mob killings have become a generalized phenomenon across the country, with 126 deaths reported in 2016 versus 20 last year.

"Due to being repeated victims of crime for more than a decade, and the feeling of not being protected, many people have decided to take justice into their own hands," The Venezuelan Observatory of Violence (OVV), which monitors crime said in its latest annual report.

OVV in its report said that last year, lynchings of suspected murderers and rapists were relatively uncommon, but this year angry crowds have increasingly attacked petty criminals too, with police often turning a blind eye.

Venezuelans have long suffered alarming levels of violent crime, in part because of the widespread availability of guns, inadequate policing and a bribe-riddled justice system.

A crushing economic crisis has added fuel to the fire in crime.

Sharing accounts may get banned: Pokemon GO

The Pokemon Go players who shared their accounts with each other might soon get banned. Sharing account helps the players to conveniently and collectively grind accounts to level limits easily. This is counted as "cheating" in the game.
You want to know why you shouldn't share accounts in Pokemon GO, here it is:

According to the official Pokemon GO support page on Trainer guidelines, account sharing is considered cheating in the game. Similar to GPS Spoofing, players will also get banned if they’re caught account sharing, as seen inCaptain_Grimjoy’s thread on the Pokemon GO Reddit. Alternatively, using multiple accounts is also considered a bannable offense in the game.

For now, Niantic still hasn’t announced if they’re done fixing Pokemon GO. Additionally, the company has been simultaneously releasing more servers while fixing the game. While Niantic’s focus is on making servers available and fixing the title, the game’s security may be less of a priority for now.
However, getting caught sharing accounts only yields a soft ban. This ban only prevents offenders from accessing the game for a few hours, but they can start playing again afterward. Due to the unimposing nature of this short ban, players can repeatedly share accounts and just wait out the soft bans. However, the soft bans may prevent players from maximizing the account’s experience gain which may discourage mass account farming.

Previously, Niantic was quick to punish offenders during the game’s closed beta,and dataminers and leakers’ devices were blocked once they’re caught sharing game info to the public. However, Pokemon GO’s developers may just be minimizing potential problems now as the game’s current buggy system may trigger a bad string of incorrect bans and hurt the gaming community immensely. The game’s buggy build may be the reason why Niantic is only doling out soft bans instead of device blocks since the official release of Pokemon GO.

Pokemon GO has beaten Twitter when it comes to active users, so it is crucial for the game’s servers not to experience a major system issue. For now, it would be best to avoid cheating in Pokemon GO despite the current inconsequential banning. It’s possible that Niantic may include previous offenders if they start a crackdown against the game’s cheaters.

So, Don't be a "cheater" and play the game wisely.

Hackers developed a Phishing scam for the users of the game "Pokemon GO"

The reality game "Pokemon GO" suddenly got a lot of success. But where there is something successful, the cyber criminals find a way to commit a crime from that.

In simple language, Facebook is a most successful social media website. And cybercriminals use different techniques to hack facebook account or to make a profit by fooling them to submit their credit information or something else. Mostly Facebook hacking is done from the phishing technique.

By the way, it was just an example. The main topic and news are that The cyber criminals or you can also say hackers, made a phishing scam for the most popular and successful game "Pokemon GO".

In this new Phishing scam, the user receives an email pretending to be from the developer of the game Niantic.Inc. and demands the players to pay approx $13 ($12.99) a month for to use the full version of the game.
The victims (who get trapped in this phishing scam) delivered to a page which is designed to steal their passwords and credit cards.

Note:Niantic Labs does offer purchases of virtual goods within the game itself but the app is completely free and users are able to use it that way indefinitely.

Conclusion: Do not fool by this phishing techniques and does not click to this type of links which you don't trust.

Smartphones users temporarily blinded

You will be shocked to know that two women went temporarily blind from constantly checking their phones in the dark, say doctors who are now alerting others to the unusual phenomenon.

As Medical reports the two women's experienced  "transient smartphone blindness" from constantly checking their phones in the night.

In Thursday’s New England Journal of Medicine, doctors detailed the cases of the two women, ages 22 and 40, who experienced “transient smartphone blindness” for months.

The women complained of recurring episodes of temporary vision loss for up to 15 minutes. They were subjected to variety of medical exams, MRI scans and heart tests. Yet doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with them to explain the problem.

But minutes after walking into an eye specialist’s office, the mystery was solved.

“I simply asked them, ’What exactly were you doing when this happened?’” recalled Dr. Gordon Plant of Moorfield’s Eye Hospital in London.

He explained that both women typically looked at their smartphones with only one eye while resting on their side in bed in the dark — their other eye was covered by the pillow.

“So you have one eye adapted to the light because it’s looking at the phone and the other eye is adapted to the dark,” he said.

When they put their phone down, they couldn’t see with the phone eye. That’s because “it’s taking many minutes to catch up to the other eye that’s adapted to the dark,” Plant said.

He said the temporary blindness was ultimately harmless, and easily avoidable, if people stuck to looking at their smartphones with both eyes.

One of the women was relieved the short-term blindness didn’t signal a more serious problem like an imminent stroke. He said the second woman was more skeptical and kept a rigorous monthslong diary tracking her fleeting vision loss before she finally believed him. But she couldn’t stop checking her phone for messages from bed, he said.

Dr. Rahul Khurana, a spokesman for the American Academy of Ophthalmology, called it a fascinating hypothesis but said two cases weren’t enough to prove that one-eyed smartphone use in the dark caused the problem. He also doubted whether many smartphone users would experience the phenomenon.

Khurana, who acknowledged that he’s an avid cellphone user, said that he and his wife tried to recreate the scenario on a recent evening, but had difficulty checking their phones with only one eye. “It was very odd,” he said.

Solution: Use your both eyes while looking at smartphones.

Pokemon GO attacked by a hacking team

According to the report, Pokemon Go was attacked on Saturday by a hacking team.

A cyber-collective hacking team known as PoodleCorp, which has previously targeted YouTube stars has announced that it was behind the Distributed Denial of Service, or DDOS, attack. PoodleCorp also threatened to do “something on a larger scale soon.” Their claim of responsibility has not yet been verified.

As the movie get leaked on the internet, it didn't get much support by the people after realising. And thus, the opening collection of the movie 'Great Grand Masti' was only 2.5 crores.

Worst Highway accident caused by the game "Pokemon GO"

As the craze of the game 'Pokemon GO' increases among the people, there are several incidents which takes place.

As I informed in my previous post that 'Pokemon GO' suddenly became the most popular among the people. If you not read that post you can read it here .

So returning back to the topic.

According to the latest news, In Massachusetts, a 26 year old driver named "Lamar Hickson has been arrested by the police on charges of causing one of the worst highway accident after stopping in the middle of the highway to catch the Pikachu.
Here is the pic of the accident:

Lamar was playing "Pokemon GO" while driving. And, while driving, at the middle of the highway he stopped his vehicle to catch a Pikachu.

Lamar admitted police that he was playing the newly release Pokemon game "Pokemon GO".

 He said “Sh*t if you wanna catch them all you gotta risk it all so I put my car in park and started tossing these balls”.

The charges against Hickson is still unknown. 

In the words of the officer, FREDRICK JONES,
“Texting and driving was already a very serious issue, but now playing Pokemon Go and driving could make things worse.”

Fortunately, nobody was seriously injured, but this type of problem might raise in future if "Pokemon GO" craze among the people increases in this way day by day.
